Project Description

Chi Long’s grant plan is to hold a unified camp for athlete leaders and youth leaders without intellectual disabilities. The content of the camp will include sports, team building activities, and sessions about unified leadership education. Trough the joint efforts of two athlete leaders, this project will allow athlete leaders to take meaningful leadership roles in planning and executing the camp. The youth leaders and camp participants without intellectual disabilities will increase their understanding of inclusion and the leadership potential people with intellectual disabilities have. A final evaluation will help determine if the program met its objectives.
